About Joe
Joe received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee, his Master's degree from Murray State University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Memphis. He has been a University Professor and was a College Dean. He left the University to start the Leaderpoint Consulting Group. This company consulted with corporate leaders from more than half of the Fortune 500 companies. Joe is the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Brownsville, TN, where he lives with his wife of 50 years.
In 2007, following a calling, Joe left his consulting firm and, along with his friend, Kyle Rote, Jr., began In The Zone Ministries. This national men's ministry presented large events throughout the country featuring some of the most successful Christian businessmen and Christian sports heroes in America. Joe has written a daily devotional for the past seven years. It started by being sent to pastor friends and has grown to be one of the most distributed devotions delivered today. It is delivered each morning by email to more than 60,000 subscribers. Morning With Jesus is read by people in all 50 states and 36 countries around the world.
Joe currently speaks to church groups and is a frequent speaker at Mayor's Prayer Breakfasts across the country. He spent 20 years as a professional speaker, traveling across America speaking to many of the largest corporations in the country.
