Following the Leader is a pastoral ministry devoted to helping people walk with Jesus in everyday life. Rooted in Scripture and shaped by the life and teachings of Christ, this ministry exists to offer steady guidance, encouragement, and reflection for those who desire to follow Jesus faithfully in the ordinary rhythms of life. Rather than chasing noise, trends, or quick answers, 

Following the Leader seeks to create space for attentive listening—to Scripture, to the voice of Jesus, and to the quiet work of God in daily life.

At its heart, Following the Leader is about discipleship that is lived, not rushed. It is shaped by the way of the cross, marked by grace, and grounded in the conviction that Jesus goes before us and invites us to walk with Him—step by step, day by day.

Through daily devotionals, pastoral reflections, and books, Dr Joe Pettigrew offers companions for the journey of faith—resources meant to encourage trust, deepen attentiveness, and help believers grow in a steady, Christ‑centered walk.

Dr. Joe Pettigrew was the founder of In The Zone Ministries.  He is a pastor and author with a heart for helping people grow in a lived, daily relationship with Jesus. Through daily devotionals, books, and teaching, Dr. Pettigrew seeks to offer a shepherding voice that points consistently to Christ as the true Leader of our lives.

For many years, he has written The Daily Huddle Devotional with one simple desire — to help you begin each day with a word from Jesus.  As this work has grown, he has realized that everything he writes — devotionals, blogs, and books — flows from the same calling: helping people walk with Jesus in everyday life.
